At this point, we’re only hours away from the big unveil of this year’s Apple iPhone models. The event is set to kick off at 10:30PM (IST) and will likely have a lot of products revealed, including the three iPhone models, a new Apple Watch, and possibly more. But for now, the rumors and leaks aren’t stopping. The latest of these are images of leaked SIM trays purportedly belonging to the Apple iPhone Xc (also being touted as the iPhone Xr, according to some reports). The trays show that we could expect the most affordable new iPhone to come in multiple color options, similar to the strategy adopted with the Apple iPhone 5C. The leaked images, discovered by 9to5Mac on Weibo, show three color options on the SIM trays: red, blue and black. The black on the SIM tray need not be the same color on the phone; it could even turn out to be a white phone. On the other hand, the red and blue options are interesting versions of the colors, with the blue in particular being a muted and unique version that we haven’t seen on too many other phones. Unlike the Apple iPhone 5C which had bright colors, the Apple iPhone Xc could go with a more toned-down approach.

This latest leak is in line with an earlier report that suggested similar color options. The most affordable iPhone of 2018 could well sport an LCD screen, unlike the OLED options on the higher variants. It’s also likely to sport the same edge-to-edge screen as on the Apple iPhone X. More details will be revealed later today.
