We are about a week away from the Apple’s September 12 event where it will be unveiling the new iPhones along with Apple Watch Series 4, iPad Pro and MacBooks. Ahead of the launch, we have come across a number of leaks and rumors about the upcoming Apple devices, and the latest leak sheds more light on what to expect in terms of pricing, specifications and features.
Apple iPhone XS, iPhone XC
To begin with, the new models will be called iPhone XS and iPhone XC. According to a report on MySmartPrice, the iPhone XS will be offered in two variants – one with a 5.8-inch display and the other with a 6.5-inch display, both having OLED panels. Powered by Apple’s A12 7nm chipset and 4GB RAM, the smartphones will come with 64GB, 256GB and 512GB storage options.
Both the iPhone XS models will come with dual rear cameras and Face ID. In terms of pricing, the 5.8-inch model could start at $899 (roughly Rs 64,500), whereas the 6.5-inch model will be priced around $999 (roughly Rs 71,700). These prices are for the base variant with 64GB storage, and with import duties and other taxes, price in India could shoot further.
The iPhone XC, on the other hand, could be offered in different color options, just like the iPhone 5C. However, unlike the iPhone 5C that came with a polycarbonate shell, the iPhone XC could have metal back, just like the iPhone 7. This only means that it will not support wireless charging. Talking about specification, the iPhone XC will come with a 6.1-inch LCD display, Apple A12 SoC and 3GB of RAM. With a single rear camera at the back and Face ID, it will ditch Touch ID fingerprint scanner. There will likely be two storage options – 64GB and 256GB, with the base model starting at $749 (roughly Rs 53,800).
Apple Watch Series 4
The Apple Watch Series 4 has been leaked on a number of occasions, and the latest rumor is that it will come with an edge-to-edge display, which will be 15 percent larger than the one on the existing Apple Watch Series 3 models. Powered by an S4 and W3 chipset, it is expected to come with 16GB onboard storage. The new Apple Watch models are also expected to come with advanced heart rate tracking and other health related improvements.

Apple iPad Pro
Based on the leaked photo that have come across earlier, the new iPad Pro will come with an edge-to-edge display and won’t come with the home button. This also means it will ditch the Touch ID fingerprint scanner, and rely on Face ID instead. Powered by A12X chipset, the iPad Pro could be offered in two variants – one with an 11-inch display and the other with a 12.9-inch display, both featuring LCD panels. The pricing is expected to be similar to the current models. On the storage front, four SKUs are expected, 64GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB.
Lastly, the MacBook is also set to get a refresh with annual upgrades to specifications. Two models are expected – one with 12-inch Retina screen, and the other with 13-inch Retina screen.
With a design similar to the current MacBooks, multiple USB Type-C ports, the pricing of the new MacBooks could start at $999 (roughly Rs 71,700).
