Based on a Economic Daily News report, the said iPhone will sport a set up similar to the Huawei P20 Pro, and include a 12-megapixel lens capable of up to five times optical zoom. This will be an upgrade over the current 2X optical zoom, 9to5 Mac reports. As the information is not official, it is advisable to take it with the proverbial grain of salt. For the next-gen iPhone in 2019, it is speculated that Apple will ditch the notch on the front, even as the industry has adopted the trend instantly.
In comparison, the Huawei P20 Pro is equipped with a triple camera setup that includes a 40-megapixel primary RGB sensor, a 20-megapixel secondary monochrome sensor, and an 8-megapixel third telephoto sensor. The primary sensor can take photos with f/1.8 aperture, while the secondary sensor is able to capture with f/1.6 aperture. The telephoto sensor, on the other hand, is used for long-range photography and allows for 5X hybrid zoom.
Coming back to the Apple iPhone, it is expected that the company will introduce three new models later this year. These are likely to include a successor to the 5.8-inch iPhone X. Adding to the 2018 lineup will also be a new 6.5-inch OLED phablet model, along with a slightly smaller 6.1-inch LCD model.
