Apple is planning to launch refreshed versions of almost all the devices in its product portfolio. According to a latest investor s note by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the company is aiming at the second half to launch all these new versions. This includes new versions of the iPhone, iPad, Mac Mini, MacBook Pro, iMac, and Apple Watch. These will be in addition to the already mentioned refresh of the iPhone with three new models, two with 5.8, and 6.5-inch OLED displays, and the third one with an LCD panel with a 6.1-inch display. Both the devices will come with a full-screen design similar to the iPhone X”. This means that the company will drop the Home button in favor of the FaceID technology. The note went on to add that the company is likely to release a refreshed Mac Mini with an upgraded processor. This will be the first upgrade for the device in more than three and a half years. Apple is also looking at incremental upgrades for the MacBook Pro, and MacBook while launching a new low-priced notebook. According to the note, the notebook is expected to sport a 12-inch screen to expand the MacBook lineup by offering a new low-cost option for people on a limited budget. Apple is also planning to launch a new iMac with a significant display performance upgrade along with a new processor.
It is also likely to launch two new models of Apple Watch with bigger displays and enhanced heart rate detection features. The first one will measure 1.57-inch and the second with 1.78-inch. It was unclear if this measurement is for the display or the body. Last, but not the least, Apple is also planning to launch a new version of the AirPods along with AirPower. It is likely that Apple may launch all these products at its annual hardware refresh event in September.
