Apple has redesigned the user interface of the program by making it cleaner and simpler to use. Apple calls the new UI an edge-to-edge UI, which puts the content first. Expanded view is a new feature that Apple has added in iTunes 11 that allows the user to quickly access all the contents of an album. The new app also brings forth a revamped Mini-Player, which is actually smaller than the one it replaces but again it actually shows more information than its predecessor. Perhaps the biggest feature of iTunes 11 is its integration with Apple’s cloud service iCloud. So now users can access media stored on iCloud and even continue songs or TV Shows right where they left off from another iDevice.
Apple has also redesigned the storefront, which takes cues from its iPad and iPhone counterparts. Overall the new design is much cleaner and simpler to use. Finally, Apple has also unveiled a new logo for the app. The upgrade to iTunes 11 is not very large at 198MB.
Update: iTunes 11 is now available for Windows as well. Users can download it from here.
