Noted Apple commentator John Guber, sent the tech industry into a tizzy when a post ridiculing the Motorola Moto 360 hinted that Apple was preparing to launch the iWatch next month. It looks like Motorola s designers tried to draw as much attention as they could to the 360 s stupid flat-tire display shape.
The only way this could get funnier would be if it doesn t even ship until after Apple announces their wrist wearable thing next month.
As expected, most tech news publications saw it as Gruber claiming that the iWatch would be launched at Apple’s September 9 press conference. Given his proximity to Apple and experience covering the company it was big news. However, Gruber came up with a clarification later.
@CaseyNewton Cool, thanks. By the way, I have no idea whether Apple is planning wrist thing for September or October, just making a joke.

Gruber s claim for a September unveiling was anyway contradicting earlier reports that the iWatch was delayed owing to production difficulties. There are quite a few rumors floating around about Apple s first smartwatch that claim it could be available in three variants one with 1.6-inch display, and two variants with 1.8-inch displays. They will boast a flexible AMOLED display and will be loaded with sensors, with the top-of-the-line iWatch likely to cost above $1,000.
