Apple was earlier believed to be launching the iWatch sometime in October. But noted analyst Ming-Chi Kuo now claims that owing to “complex hardware and software engineering”, the mass production of the iWatch has been pushed to November, 9To5Mac reports.

Kuo had earlier estimated that the iWatch would enter mass production in September and would eventually launch in October. As mentioned above, owing to complex hardware and software engineering, mass production has been pushed back.

He also reveals a few details about the iWatch claiming, that the smartwatch will boast a flexible AMOLED display protected by Sapphire. Last week we reported about Apple reportedly coating the display of the iPhone 6 with Sapphire, which will make it nearly indestructible. In addition to the display, Kuo also reveals that the iWatch will be water proof and will be powered by a new system-on-a-chip (SoC). There is no way of authenticating this piece of information, but Ming-Chi Kuo does have a good record when it comes to Apple–related products.

Apple has been busy preparing for the iWatch launch. It has been on a hiring spree for design, healthcare and fitness, which also includes enlisting professional athletes. Last week, Apple also poached the sales director from Tag Heuer ahead of the smartwatch launch. As far as the smartwatch is concerned, it is expected to come in multiple sizes loaded with sensors, with the top-of-the-line iWatch likely to cost above $1,000.
