Apple iWatch won't ship until next year: Report

If you were waiting for Apple’s iWatch, you might have to wait for a bit longer. After reports about Apple unveiling the iWatch at its September 9 event, a new report suggests that Apple won’t launch the iWatch till later next year.

The news about the delay is also reported by ReCode, which also reported about the iWatch being on the roster on September 9. While Apple is known to launch products within weeks of unveiling them, it isn’t new for Apple to launch a new category of product after unveiling it. The first iPhone was unveiled in January 2007 but was only launched in June that year.

According to the report, the iWatch would miss the holiday season launch, which means it will only happen sometime next year, though it isn’t clear when it would be launched.

From what we have heard so far, the Apple iWatch could be available in three variants one with 1.6-inch display, and two variants with 1.8-inch displays. They will boast a flexible AMOLED display and will be loaded with sensors, with the top-of-the-line iWatch likely to cost above $1,000.
