Apple is set to launch its next-gen Apple TV next week, which is expected to have a bigger focus on gaming, with support for Bluetooth gaming controllers. Apple has now created a new Twitter account @AppStoreGames to tweet about the best games on the platform.
The new Twitter handle will be showcasing the best of games that are available on its App Store. While Apple hasn’t revealed a lot, The Verge says that the handle will be managed by App Store editors. They will highlight interesting game titles, app of the week, sneak previews of games, and some tips and tricks. Editors will also be interacting with game developers on this feed.
The first tweet from the account went up yesterday, which included a GIF featuring some of the most popular games available on the platform, such as Angry Birds and Clash of Titans.

Apple is said to be focusing a lot on gaming recently, and its forthcoming Apple TV will double up as a gaming console as well. From what we know so far, the fourth-generation Apple TV will boast of a speedier processor along with new motion-sensitive remote control and support for third-party Bluetooth joysticks and game controllers.
With Apple’s big event on September 9, we expect to hear more about Apple’s new interest in gaming. We are also expecting to see the new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus at the event. Till then, stay tuned.
