The base model, which starts at Rs 39,900, features a dual-core Intel i5 processor that is clocked at 2.5GHz, 4GB of RAM and a 500GB hard drive. Apple also sells a version, which is powered by a quad-core Intel i7 processor clocked at 2.3GHz, 4GB of RAM and a 1TB hard drive. This version costs Rs 52,900. Another version that runs on OS X Server has also been made. This version of the Mac Mini has the same specs as the Rs 52,900 model but instead boasts twin 1TB hard drives and it costs RS 65,900. Apart from upgrading the processor and RAM, Apple has also upgraded the I/O on the Mac Mini. The new Mac Mini features four USB 3.0 ports, a thunderbolt port, a firewire 800 port, a HDMI port, a SD card reader and gigabit Ethernet. Additionally, Apple says that the Mac Mini can be upgraded with up to 16GB of RAM and users can even choose SSD storage in built to order scenarios. The new Mac Mini is available with Apple Authorized Resellers starting today.
