Apple has released macOS High Sierra 10.13.14, the fourth major update to the macOS High Sierra desktop operating system. The macOS High Sierra 10.13.14 comes more than two months after the release of macOS High Sierra 10.13.3 release, which brought software level fix for critical vulnerabilities like Spectre. The new update now rolling out for macOS devices can be downloaded directly from the Mac App Store or through the software update option in the Mac App Store on all compatible Macs that are already running macOS High Sierra. In terms of new improvements and enhancements, the macOS High Sierra 10.13.14 brings bug fixes and performance improvements for issues that have been discovered since the release of macOS High Sierra 10.13.13. The update brings support for Business Chat, which will allow macOS users to interact with businesses like Wells Fargo and Lowe’s right in the messages app. The update also brings official support for external graphics processors or eGPUs. The update also fixes the graphics corruption issues that affected certain apps on iMac Pro and allows jumping to the right-most open tab using Command+9 in Safari. The macOS High Sierra 10.13.14 update also enables sorting Safari bookmarks by name or URL with right click and choosing ‘Sort by’ option. It also fixes an issue which prevented web links from appearing in messages. It also protects privacy by only Autofilling usernames and passwords after selecting them in a web form field in Safari. It now displays warnings in the Safari smart search field when interacting with password or credit card forms on non-encrypted web pages.

Last important addition is the display of privacy icons and links to explain how user’s data will be used and protected when “Apple features ask to use your personal information.” The update also brings the smoke cloud wallpaper that was previously only available on the iMac Pro and now macOS plays a warning when users try to open up a 32-bit app, highlighting the fact that Apple is phasing 32-bit apps out.

Apple has already phased out 32-bit iOS apps and will soon follow suit for Mac apps as well. According to MacRumors, the macOS High Sierra will be the last version of macOS that will support 32-bit apps “without compromises.”
