Last week Apple CEO Tim Cook said that the company will be adding an extra security layer to its iCloud service. Today, the company seems to have begun sending out email alerts whenever one’s iCloud account is accessed through a Web browser, Macrumors reports.
Do note that these alerts won’t be preventing hacks, but rather giving you a heads up that someone has just logged into your account. Such information in such quick succession will make it possible for the user to lessen the damage.
As part of the additional security layers, Apple will be introducing a couple of more features including push notifications for every attempted password change, device restore, or a login from a new device.
