Apple is reportedly working on adding a new anti-reflection coating on its new iPad models, which include a full-sized iPad with a 9.7-inch screen and a new version of the 7.9-inch iPad mini. As per Bloomberg’s report this coating on new iPads will be helpful in offering a better display and visuals even in bright lighting conditions.
The company has already started mass production of the 9.7-inch iPad, and is expected to unveil it in September. However, according to the report, the larger iPad’s production might be restricted owning to manufacturing complications due to the addition of this new anti-reflection coating.
The company is also working on a revamped version of the 7.9-inch iPad mini, and if the report is to be believed Apple’s suppliers have already started manufacturing this iPad as well. It is expected that this new version of iPad mini will be available by the year end.
The new iPads are expected to be unveiled along with the new iPhones with bigger screens on September 9.
