Apple released the final version of watchOS 5 on September 17. Following the roll out however, many users had been complaining about charging issues on the device, along with some bugs noticed around exercising and Stand Credits. Now to fix the said problems, Apple is rolling out watchOS 5.0.1 update for users.
According to Arstechnica, after updating the Apple Watch to watchOS 5, a few users had reported about their devices having stopped charging. Some had also reported about the Watch charging slower than its expected time. This is one of the major issues Apple claims to have fixed with the watchOS 5.0.1 update. That said, the company hasn’t revealed any details as to what was causing the problem in the first the place.
Another issue the new update states to fix is with Stand Credits. Some users after updating their Apple Watches noticed that they weren’t getting Stand Credits in the afternoon, which could ether mean that Watch seized to record or recognize users standing time during the day. There were also some users, who noticed that the exercise ring in the activity app seemed to fill up quite quickly, regardless of the the physical activity undertaken during the day. Both of these issues have now been fixed.

If you are one of the few who has been facing some of above mentioned issues, then we recommend you to update the Watch as soon as possible. You can do so by going into the Software Update option under the Watch app on the iPhone. The update is said to be about 49.6MB in size. While updating, it is recommended to have the Watch connected to the charger, and have 50 percent battery at least.
