As expected, Apple has sent out invites for an event on September 9. The invite doesn’t have any cryptic clues this time around and just has Apple’s logo with the date on top of it and “wish we could say more.” However, it doesn’t take a genius to know what this is all about.
Apple is expected to unveil not one but two models of the iPhone this year. Both of the iPhone 6 variants will have a bigger display than before, with one expected to sport a 4.7-inch display while the other with a mammoth 5.5-inch display. At least one of the two models is expected come with a Sapphire glass display.
On the design front, numerous leaks suggest a thinner design with soft curved edges, which looks highly inspired by the iPad design. Recent rumors have suggested that Apple will also change the ‘true tone’ flash for the rear camera. Talking about the camera, it is expected to sport a slight bump, which could or could not be related to Apple looking at add-on lenses for the iPhone.
Reports have also suggested that iPhone 6 manufacturing seems to have hit a roadblock with last-minute changes to the display design, which could impact the iPhone 6’s availability initially.
Apart from the two iPhone models, Apple is also finally expected to unveil the elusive iWatch at the September 9 event.
