The thinner MacBook is likely to be the much rumored 12-inch MacBook that is said to boast a Retina Display, a button-less trackpad and new internal components including a new cooling system. Apple was earlier believed to be unveiling the 12-inch MacBook towards the end of October, but Intel’s continued delays of its Broadwell chips could be the reason why the launch has been pushed back. It is however not clear if Apple plans on introducing this new laptop under the MacBook Air lineup, MacBook Pro or introduce a completely new lineup. The publication further mentions that Apple will be discontinuing 13-inch non-Retina MacBook Pro by the end of this year. Ahead of launching the thinner MacBook, Apple will be hosting an event on September 9, where it is widely believed to be unveiling the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch variants of the iPhone 6.
