The dust might not have settled on the current generation iPhone 5S, which still remains difficult to find on store shelves, reports about Apple’s next generation iPhones are already making their way to the rumormill. The latest comes from Bloomberg, which reports the next generation iPhones will sport bigger displays that will be curved. According to the report, Apple is working on two models, one with a 4.7-inch display and another with a bigger 5.5-inch display. Apart from the bigger displays, Apple is also looking at using curved displays with the glass curving downwards from the edges. The report also suggests that Apple is testing new sensors that can distinguish between different levels of pressure, though it might be incorporated in a later model. Apple keeps testing different designs and hardware for the iPhone and at any given point of time there are a couple of dozen models being designed and tested. It is unclear whether any of these would see the light of day. However, both LG and Samsung have launched their first smartphones with curved displays, though the advantages of having a curved display like the Korean companies have implemented is not immediately clear.
