If rumors are to be believed, Apple could be launching the Watch sometime in April. The Cupertino-based company s first-ever wearable device will also be bringing about an interesting change to the company s official stores, 9To5Mac reports. According to Mark Gurman, Apple is apparently taking a leaf out of traditional jewelry shops and its retail stores will feature a safe specially built for the gold variant of the Watch. The publication quotes sources claiming that some Apple Stores are already getting these safes fitted ahead of Watch s launch in April. These safes will be used to store stocks of the Apple Watch gold variant, as well as demo units at night. These safes will also have built-in MagSafe chargers, which should keep the Watches ready for display the following day. This is an essential feature, considering the Watch is rumored to have a measly 3-4 hours of battery life.
It is not surprising to see Apple make such arrangements for the launch of the Watch. While the wearable s pricing starts at $349, the price tag for the luxurious gold variant is rumored to go past the $1,000 mark.
