The leaked image shows that the Apple Watch Series 4 will feature a circular watch face and it adds that the circle in Apple’s invite hints at that design. The leaked image also shows that the device will feature a 1.3-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 360 x 360 pixels. The display seems to similar to that on the Galaxy Watch, which comes with a 1.3-inch circular Super AMOLED display and 360 x 360 pixel resolution.
It also shows that the wearable will come with support for Bluetooth and WiFi 802.11bg. It will also include NFC support for Apple Pay contact less payment solution. There is no easy route to verify this image but it does put an iPhone on top of the specifications to suggest it is related to iPhone. Apple is the most dominant player in the wearable segment and Apple Watch continues to remain the best-selling smartwatch globally for several quarters now.
By switching to circular design, Apple will join the likes of Samsung and Huawei, which offer smartwatch models with circular design. The leaks so far do not reveal much information about the upcoming wearable but there are possibilities of Apple Watch getting always-on display mode.
