Apple Watch Series 4 to go on sale starting October 19; starts from Rs 40,900

Apple has just revealed the availability and pricing details for its latest wearable, the Apple Watch Series 4 for India. According to the company, Watch Series 4 will be available starting October 19 with the base price of the GPS model starting from Rs 40,900 with the GPS and Cellular Watch Series 4 priced at Rs 49,990. In addition the pricing and availability details on Apple India website, the official Flipkart listing has also gone up for the wearable. Diving closely in the details of the listing, the Apple Watch Series 4 GPS model with 40mm case is priced at Rs 40,990 while the 44mm case with GPS is priced at Rs 43,990.

The GPS and Cellular connectivity model with 40mm case will be available for Rs 49,990 while the one with 44mm case is priced at Rs 52,990. All the connectivity and case sizes will be available in Silver, Space Black, and Gold colors. The company initially launched the Watch Series 4 along with its latest iPhone devices in the market, the iPhone XS, XS Max, and the XR. The new wearable device by the company comes with a larger display, thinner bezels, and a number of new features.

Apple Watch Series 4 specifications

Apple claims to have improved the performance of its latest wearable offering with the help of 64-but dual-core S4 processor. As previously mentioned, the device will also come with larger display along with thinner bezels which means that the wearables will come with larger displays as compared to the Series 3. The overall design of the Series 4 will be similar to that of Series 3 minus the bezels.

The company has upgraded the gyroscope and accelerometer on the Watch to add “Fall detection” of the device. The device comes with improved heart rate monitoring to include notifications to alert users of too low or irregularities in their heartbeats. In addition to that, the highlight of the wearable is the ECG feature which unfortunately will not make its way to India.
