Apple CEO Tim Cook is touring in an effort to promote the Apple Watch which his company is expected to talk in length at an event on March 9. Apple showcased some of the features of the Watch at its September event last year, and now Cook is shedding light on some of the previously unknown features. In an interview with the Telegraph, Cook said that in addition to gleaning notification from the iPhone, and offering support for many apps, the Watch will also pack in features that will enable a user to use it as their car s physical keys and key fobs security systems. It s certainly a handy feature, but the Watch isn t the only smartwatch that promises it. A webOS-powered smartwatch demonstrated at the CES event last month also had a similar offering. What makes this revelation interesting is the fact that Apple is reportedly looking at getting into the automobile industry with its own electric car.
