According to MacRumors, the iPod Nano going into obsolete status eliminates Apple’s obligation from continuing providing services to the users. If you are using the sixth-gen iPod Nano, then an Apple Store or any authorized Apple service center will not be able to offer help in case you require a repair or service of your portable music player. However, the company will continue offering support in the state of California as the law there warrants extended customer service and repair. Apple launched the sixth-gen iPod Nano in 2010, and it was discontinued two years later. The portable music player was noted for its square design, and touch screen support as it ditched the legacy click wheel from the fifth-gen iPod Nano. While iPods clearly have been a dear product to the company, it soon began to lose its ground with the emergence of smartphones. The company announced the discontinuation of the whole of iPod Nano and iPod Shuffle lineup in July this year. The Cupertino giant earlier this year also discontinued select models of MacBook Air and MacBook Pro along with 13-inch MacBook Air while it also added the iPhone 4 to the list. First and second-gen Apple TV, the first iPad, and iPad 3G have also been declared obsolete or vintage by the company.
