A new rumor suggests that Microsoft’s upcoming Windows 8.1 or Blue version will be able to automatically upgrade the apps on the platform, without needing the users to update these manually. According to Winbeta s blog, several app developers and other users for the Windows 8.1 Pro Preview build 9385 have discovered apps getting silently upgraded to new versions. Reportedly, many apps including the Movie Moments have received an automatic updation via Windows Update in the Windows 8.1 Pro Preview build.

Earlier there have been rumors that the new version of the OS will offer options to customize the Start Menu in a number of ways, will feature an updated side-by-side app view, improved setting options, add a boot to desktop option and a Start button. We expect more information on Blue to surface till Microsoft launches this version sometime later this year.
