Asus has introduced a new Fonepad 7 tablet (model number FE375CL) that runs on Android Lollipop out-of-the-box and supports LTE. The tablet will first be launched in Taiwan, with a price tag of around $250. The details on the global pricing and availability are yet to be revealed.As far as specifications are concerned, the Fonepad 7 will feature a single-SIM and a 7-inch WXGA display set at a resolution of 1280×800 pixels. The tablet also comes with 8GB/16GB of internal storage along with a microSD slot that can accommodate up to 64GB. On the photography side of things, the tablet has a 5-megapixel autofocus primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary camera. Asus will also be releasing the dual-SIM version of the Fonepad 7, however it will be running on Android KitKat 4.4 out of the box and will be fitted with a 7-inch WSVGA display set at a resolution of 1024×600 pixels. The dual-SIM version will be powered by the Intel Atom Z2520 processor with an option to choose from either a 1GB or a 2GB RAM. It will be equipped with either an 8-megapixel primary snapper and a 5-megapixel and an option between 8GB and 16GB of internal storage. As mentioned above, there is no word on when Asus plans on launching the tablet in India.
