Asus reportedly preparing two Android Jelly Bean tablets for CES

NoteBook Italia has a good track record when it comes to leaks and today they have leaked specs of two incoming Asus 7-inch tablets that will come with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean at CES. The tablets in question have the codenames ME371MG and ME172V and they are reportedly low-cost solutions. Also Read - Explained: Want to make your PC superfast? According to the report, the ME172V will have a 7-inch IPS 1024×600 display, an ARM Cortex A9 single-core CPU, a Mali 400 GPU, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory and a 1.3-megapixel camera. Also Read - Fossil working to bring Alexa support to its smartwatches before Wear OS 3

But the bigger deal out here is the ME371MG which will be a higher end product with a 7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280×800, the same as the Nexus 7, but will utilize a single-core Intel Atom CPU clocked at 1.2GHz based on the Saltwell architecture. Besides this, it will have 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, 3G, Wi-Fi and will also have a 3-megapixel camera. The ME172V is expected to be priced between $129 and $149 and the ME371MG will be priced higher between $199 and $250, which is in the Nexus 7 ballpark.
