ROG Phone Specifications

The smartphone comes with a 6-inch full HD+ AMOLED display (18:9 aspect ratio), with slightly thick bezels on the top and bottom. If you hate the notch, you’ll likely not have any complaints. At the heart of the ROG Phone runs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core SoC paired with up to 8GB of RAM, and up to 512GB onboard storage.

To keep things ticking, Asus has also bundled a massive 4,000mAh battery with Asus HyperCharge technology that can charge from empty to 60 percent in 33 minutes. With a full charge, the smartphone can deliver battery life of up to seven hours with Wi-Fi gaming. The ROG Phone runs Android 8.1 Oreo with Asus’ ZEN UI on top. It will be interesting to see when it will be updated to Android Pie.

In the photography department, you get dual a 12-megapixel + 8-megapixel setup with LED flash at the back, and an 8-megapixel sensor on the front. The smartphone supports face unlock and fingerprint scanner at the back too. Connectivity wise, you get two USB Type-C ports, one at the bottom, and one on the side to connect accessories.

There are also a bunch of accessories, such as a gaming controller, a Mobile Desktop Dock to transform your phone into a PC, a TwinView Dock with second screen to play games, and more. There is no word on the pricing, but if Asus keeps the price under Rs 40,000, it will have an edge over other phones such as OnePlus 6T, Samsung Galaxy S9, and Samsung Galaxy Note 9 among others.
