After announcing a number of tablets and hybrids, ASUS has also unveiled the VivoPC which is a Windows 8 PC that doubles up as a home theatre as well. The device has been introduced with the VivoMouse which is a new touch-pad clad wireless mouse, and features a set of enhancements including Asus’s SonicMaster technology for better audio quality. The VivoPC is powered by an Intel processor with Intel HD integrated graphics and comes with a 802.11ac Wi-Fi which supports HD video streaming as well as browsing. The mini-PC comes like a metallic brushed finished box like frame, and features ASUS’s SonicMaster technology in it. This box like frame measures 56.2mm in height.
Other features include two internal memory slots, USB ports, and the drive bay to accommodate a 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch SATA 6Gbit/s hard drive.
This PC has been launched with the VivoMouse which is Asus s new device that works as a wireless mouse with an integrated touchpad that can be used to control desktop and other controllers. It has been specifically designed for the Windows 8 user interface. The device has a circular touchpad that offers support for Windows 8 multi-touch gestures.
Both the Asus VivoMouse and VivoPC will be available in third quarter of this year.
