Asus is working on a new budget smartphone, confirms the latest TENAA listing. Codenamed X018DC, the smartphone has been certified by the Chinese certification agency. The TENAA website reveals few specifications and images of the upcoming Asus X018DC. The smartphone is said to launch in star black, light pink, and gold color variants. The images spotted on TENAA shows the front and back profile of the smartphone. Looking at the front image of the smartphone, the selfie camera lens can be seen located above the display along with the speaker and proximity sensors. The back of the smartphone houses a dual-camera setup on the top-left corner, which could also be the highlight of the smartphone.

In terms of specifications, the smartphone comes with a 5.7-inch HD+ (1440×720 pixels) display which means it will sport an 18:9 aspect ratio. The ASUS X018DC will be powered by an unnamed octa-core SoC clocked at 1.5GHz. The smartphone is said to launch in two variants 32GB storage with 3GB of RAM and 64GB storage with 4GB of RAM. On the camera front, the Asus smartphone will sport 16-megapixel and 8-megapixel shooters at the back, while up front will be an 8-megapixel camera. This handset will include a 4,030mAh non-removable battery. Connectivity options of the device include dual SIM, 4G-LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and a micro USB 2.0 port. On the software front, the smartphone will run on Android 7.0 Nougat on top of ASUS custom UI out-of-the-box. Asus recently also launched the Zenfone V smartphone with 5.2-inch full HD AMOLED display. Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor paired with 4GB of RAM. Also on offer is 32GB of internal storage, which is further expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card. The Zenfone V sports a 23-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture. The rear camera is equipped with 4K video capabilities, dual-tone flash, OIS, and in-house TriTech autofocus. Up front, it houses an 8-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture.
