After unveiling the ZenBook 3 at Computex 2016 last year, Asus has today unveiled the refreshed version of the ultra-thin laptop — ZenBook 3 Deluxe. With a 12.9mm thin profile, the new ZenBook 3 Deluxe weighs less than three pounds. The new Windows-powered laptop comes with latest hardware on board and more storage among other additions. The original ZenBook 3 features a 12.5-inch display, whereas the new ZenBook 3 Deluxe flaunts a 14-inch display fitted inside a 13-inch chassis. The display runs at full- HD (1080p) resolution. The thin bezels squeeze the display inside a smaller form factor, while offering extra overall size. Also, while the original ZenBook 3 featured just one USB Type-C port, the refreshed Deluxe version comes with three of them with two including Thunderbolt 3 support. On the hardware front, the new ZenBook 3 Deluxe is powered by Intel s latest Core i7 Kaby Lake processor paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB SSD storage. Asus has also tweaked the keyboard a bit with key travel of 1.2mm. Asus ZenBook 3 Deluxe price
The Windows 10 laptop will set you back by $1,699 (which is approximately Rs 1,15,354) and will be available starting May 2017. However, there is no word on India launch yet.
At CES 2017, Asus also introduced two new smartphones the ZenFone AR and the Zenfone 3 Zoom. The ZenFone AR is the first smartphone to support Google s Project Tango for Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR), along with support for Google Daydream VR. It features a 23-megapixel rear camera along with depth sensor and motion sensor. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC and a massive 8GB of RAM, the smartphone runs Android Nougat out of the box. The Zenfone 3 Zoom, on the other hand, is the successor to Zenfone Zoom that was launched in January last year. It has a sleek and thin profile, and comes with a dual rear camera setup one 12-megapixel 25mm wide-angle lens, and one 12-megapixel 56mm lens to offer 2.3X optical zoom. The camera app comes with a portrait mode to let you capture photos with DSLR-like blur background, just like you do it on iPhone 7 Plus. With 5,000mAh battery, the smartphone runs Android Marshmallow OS out of the box, and will be updated to Android Nougat, sometime later this year.
