Asus took the wraps off its Zenfone 3 series of smartphones at Computex earlier this year. The company has added two new smartphones to this series, called the Zenfone 3 Laser and Zenfone 3 Max. As the names suggest, these are basically the successors to the Zenfone 2 Laser and Zenfone Max respectively. Both smartphones were unveiled at an event in Vietnam, Techrum reports, but at the time of filing this story, details are a bit scarce. Asus Zenfone 3 Laser price
The Zenfone 3 Laser has been launched in Vietnam with a price tag of 5,990,000 VND, which is approximately Rs 18,000. This is considerably higher than the Zenfone 2 Laser that was launched in India for Rs 13,999.

The smartphone features a 5.5-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display with 2.5D arc glass, 64-bit octa-core processor, 4GB of RAM, 32GB internal storage, and a fingerprint scanner.

The talking point of the smartphone is undoubtedly the 13-megapixel PixelMaster 3.0 camera with f/2.0 aperture at the back. It is accompanied by a Sony IMX214 image sensor, ultra-fast 0.03 seconds laser auto-focus, electronic image stabilization (EIS), and a color correction sensor. All this is packed in a body that is only 7.9mm thick.

The Zenfone 3 Max is priced at 4,490,000 VND, which is approximately Rs 13,400. In comparison, the Zenfone Max is available in India in two variants — 2GB RAM variant for Rs 9,999 and 3GB RAM variant for Rs 12,999.

The smartphone features a 5.2-inch IPS display with 2.5D curved display, 4,100mAh battery that the company claims is good enough for up to 20 hours of talktime, up to 30 days on standby mode, reverse charging support, a metal body and a fingerprint scanner.
Asus introduced its new Zenfone 3 series earlier this year, by launching the Zenfone 3, Zenfone 3 Deluxe, and Zenfone 3 Ultra. Recently, it also launched a variant of the Zenfone 3 Ultra powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 821 chipset, and a 9.7-inch tablet called ZenPad 3S 10.
