Asus claims that the two smartphones each come with a feature that is ‘world’s first’. For one, both the smartphones feature a combination of metal unibody design and invisible antenna bands. The rest of the specifications include a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED, FHD display with Tru2Life Technology, 79 percent screen-to-body ratio, and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It also comes with a 23-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX318 Exmor-RS imaging sensor, ƒ/2.0 aperture, four-axis OIS, three-axis EIS, and 4K video recording capabilities. Up front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera. Apart from that, the Zenfone 3 Deluxe also features the Pixel Master 3.0 technology, which offers more than 20 camera modes, including a manual mode.
Additionally, on the rear, the smartphone also comes with a built-in fingerprint sensor, which Asus claims also operates with moist fingers. Fuelling the device is a 3,000mAh battery, which comes with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 technology for fast charging.
Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra specifications
The Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra shares a lot of the same set of specifications and features, albeit with a few differences. For one, there is a 6.8-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display, and it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor coupled with the Adreno 510 GPU and 4GB of RAM. Unlike the Zenfone 3 Deluxe, the built-in fingerprint sensor on the Zenfone 3 Ultra is positioned on the front. It is fuelled by a massive 4,600mAh battery, which comes with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 technology. Additionally, the massive battery also allows the smartphone to double-up as a power bank.
At this price point, Asus’ new Zenfone 3 Deluxe and Zenfone 3 Ultra are bound to face tough competition from the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S7, Google Pixel and Pixel XL, and Apple’s new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.
