Asus is all set to unveil its new Zenfone 3-series smartphones on May 30. The event is set to take place in Taipei at the Computex 2016 trade show and ahead of the launch; we ve come across official teasers and a handful of leaks that offered a gist of what to expect from the smartphones. Now, the Asus Zenfone 3 was recently spotted on GFXBench listing and it has revealed some of its key specifications and features. Based on the listing, the Zenfone 3 sports a 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) display. It is powered by Qualcomm s Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz paired with Adreno 530 GPU and 4GB of RAM. The GFXBench listing also shows 128GB onboard storage, but there is no word on whether it is expandable or not.
In the camera department, the Zenfone 3 sports a 23-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megpaixel front-facing unit. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and Wi-Fi 802.11ac. On the software front, the smartphone was spotted running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow wrapped under Zen UI.
Besides the Zenfone 3, Asus is also expected to unveil two other smartphones the Zenfone Max and the Zenfone 3 Deluxe. Based on the previous rumors, the Zenfone Max could sport a 5.9-inch full HD display. Also, new Zenfone 3-series will pack slim unibody design with metal frame.
As of now, there is no word on the pricing and availability of these smartphones. With just four days to go for the unveiling event, we will bring all the information from the launch event.
