Asus has reportedly begun rolling out the Android 7.0 Nougat update for its Zenfone 3 smartphones. As of now the update has been rolled out to two versions of the Zenfone 3, namely ZE520KL and ZE552KL. The update is currently available for Zenfone 3 users in the Philippines only. In due time, the global roll out should take place. Asus had launched the Zenfone 3 series last year, following an India launch later in August. Right now, there is no official word on when the Android 7.0 Nougat would be hitting the other Zenfone 3 smartphones like the Zenfone Max, Zenfone 3 Deluxe, Zenfone 3 Laser, Zenfone 3 Ultra and the recently launched Zenfone 3 Zoom. As reported by TechUpdate, Android 7.0 Nougat for the Asus Zenfone 3 smartphones will add features like the Multi-window support.which allows support for launching two apps at the same time. One can resize the app windows and further maximize or minimize either of the active apps in use. This feature also allows moving text and images between the two apps in use. The Android 7.0 Nougat would also bring the Doze battery feature in the smartphone. The Doze battery feature had debuted with Android Marshmallow, but the revamped feature on Android Nougat comes with increased optimization for Android services.
In addition to this, the Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe (ZS550KL) smartphone has received a system update as version 220.127.116.11, which brings changes along with improving the stability of touch performance. The update also adds Pure mode in Audio Wizard when headphone is in use. There is a user tutorial for NFC function as well. To update manually, one can simple go to Settings>About>System Update on their Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe smartphone.

The Asus Zenfone 3 smartphone comes in two variants as mentioned above bearing the model numbers ZE520KL and ZE552KL. The ZE520KL features a 5.2-inch display, comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB onboard storage. It is powered by a 2,650mAh battery. While the ZE552KL features a 5.5-inch display with 4GB of RAM and 64GB onboard storage. It is powered by a 3,000mAh battery. The rest of the specifications remain the same for both the variants. The display comes in full HD (1920 1080 pixels) display along with 2.5D curved glass and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood of the smartphone runs, Qualcomm s Snapdragon 625 64-bit octa-core chipset clocked at 2GHz and paired with Adreno 506 GPU. In the photography department, the Asus Zenfone 3 smartphone sports a 16-megapixel PixelMaster 3.0 rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, laser auto-focus, phase detection auto focus (PDAF) and optical image stabilization (OIS). Up front, the smartphone houses an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture, and 88 degrees wide-angle lens. Connectivity options offered by the smartphone include dual-SIM support (hybrid setup), 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and GPS.
