Asus Zenfone 4-series is set to get even more confusing with six new Zenfone 4 smartphones spotted on Asus Zentalk forum. The smartphones in question here are the Zenfone 4 Max, the Zenfone 4 Pro, the Zenfone 4 Selfie and three different variants of the Zenfone 4 flagship. All six smartphones have been approved for Google services, and reports hint at a possible July launch.
Leakster Roland Quandt has shared the model numbers and names of these upcoming smartphones on his Twitter account. Out of the six devices, the Asus Zenfone 4 Max has been in the “to launch” category for a long time now. The smartphone has also been listed on Asus official support page, and it was last spotted on GFXBench revealing quite a few details. From what we know so far, the smartphone might launch with a 5.5-inch display with either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 or Snapdragon 660 chipset. The smartphone is said to sport a dual rear camera setup capable of shooting 4K videos. The camera resolutions stand at 13-megapixel + 5-megapixel camera capable of capturing FHD videos. Up front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera. On the software front, the smartphone will run on Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box.Next on the list is the ZenFone 4 Pro, which leaks suggest is a high-end device. As of now, not a lot is know about this upcoming smartphone, except that it carries the nomenclature ‘ASUS_Z01GD’ and it will run on Android Nougat out-of-the-box. Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie, as the name suggests, will be a selfie-centric smartphone. A GFXBench listing has revealed details like model name ‘ASUS_Z01MD’, and features like Snapdragon 625 chipset, 16-megapixel rear camera with 4K video recording capabilities, and a 12-megapixel selfie camera.
Apart from the above three mentioned phones, the list also comprises of three more Zenfone 4 devices. Reports suggest that Asus might launch two different RAM and storage variants similar to what we saw with last year’s Zenfone 3. That’s not it, Asus recently also revealed that it is also working on the successor to last year’s Zenfone Pegasus 3. Called, Asus ZenFone Pegasus 4A, the smartphone will come with features like 5-inch 720p display, MediaTek MT6737V chipset, 3GB RAM. One of the talking points of the smartphone is said to be the dual-camera setup. The smartphone might feature a pair of 13-megapixel + 8-megapixel rear cameras along with a 5-megapixel front camera. The smartphone is said to be armed with a 4,100mAh battery and is expected to run and Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box.
