The Asus Zenfone 4 is set to be launched on August 17, and prior to the official launch, the company has revealed an image of the anticipated smartphone, confirming a dual-camera at the back. Asus posted a teaser image of the Zenfone 4 on its Facebook and Instagram pages. The image features Asia Pacific Region spokesperson Gong Yoo showing off the dual-camera setup of the smartphone. The post also mentions the launch date, which is August 17. Successor to the Zenfone 3, the Zenfone 4 is part of the company’s series of new smartphones, which also include the Zenfone 4 Pro, Zenfone 4 Selfie, and the recently launched Zenfone 4 Max. Asus Zenfone 4 specifications, features
Based on the image, the Asus Zenfone 4 will feature a horizontally aligned dual-camera module with flash, at the rear. The design language appears identical to Asus’ previous flagship smartphones with a unibody metal-finish design. the smartphone is expected to be available in two variants; one powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC and other by Snapdragon 630 SoC. The dual-camera module is the newest industry fad, popularized by the Apple iPhone 7 Plus, which was soon followed by OnePlus 5 and Honor 8 Pro among others. In terms of photography, while it is certain that the Asus Zenfone 4 will be equipped with a dual-camera module, it remains unclear if Asus will incorporate an RGB senor and a monochrome sensor, or use a depth sensor for Bokeh effect. While that’s all that is know about the Asus Zenfone 4 till now, the company is also expected to unveil the Zenfone 4 Pro at the same event. The Zenfone 4 Pro is expected to feature a 5.7-inch AMOLED display with quad HD resolution. It is expected to house a 21-megapixel dual-camera module at the back, with support for 2x optical zoom. It will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box.
