Asus unveiled the Zenfone 5z back at MWC 2018, and now it seems to be ready for an India launch. Flipkart has started teasing the smartphone hinting at an exclusivity and an imminent launch.
Flipkart has put up a teaser page with the caption – “Flagship redefined. Coming Soon. #OnlyOnFlipkart”. While it doesn’t explicitly reveal the smartphone’s name, the stripes across the page are similar to the wallpaper seen on the Zenfone 5z.
The page further mentions that the product will be revealed tomorrow (June 26) at 8:45PM. But this is unlikely to the launch of the product. Instead, Flipkart is only likely to reveal the name of the upcoming smartphone.
Asus Zenfone 5z specifications, features
As mentioned, the Asus Zenfone 5z was unveiled at the MWC alongside the Asus Zenfone 5 (2018), and Zenfone 5 Lite. Asus hasn’t launched any of these three smartphones in India yet, and the Zenfone 5z is likely to be the first.
As far as specifications are concerned, the Zenfone 5z sports a 6.2-inch full HD+ edge-to-edge screen, and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset with up to 8GB of RAM. There is also up to 256GB internal storage that will be on offer.
For photography, Asus has opted for a dual-camera setup at the back. This includes a 12-megapixel primary sensor with large 1.4-micron pixels, and an 8-megapixel secondary sensor that allows 120-degree wide-angle shooting and portrait mode shots.
