Asus is said to be gearing up to launch a new smartphone codenamed Zenfone ‘X015D’, which has made its appearance on a certification website. Looking at its design and alleged specifications, this upcoming smartphone is likely to be launched as the Asus Zenfone Go 2. As the name suggests, this new smartphone would succeed the Zenfone Go (XO14D), which was launched back in 2015. The Zenfone X015D has been spotted on TENNA, which reveals some of the key specifications and features. The images hint at a horizontally-placed dual camera setup at the back along with a LED flash. It also features a home button on the front which is also speculated to double up as a fingerprint scanner. It has a volume rocker and power button on right side, and the smartphone is – likely to be launched in two color variants — black and gold. Asus Zenfone Go 2 specifications, features
As per the listing on the Chinese certification website, the Asus Zenfone Go 2 has 5.5 inch HD (720p) display, and is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core processor. In the camera department, the Asus Zenfone Go 2 has a 13-megapixel dual rear camera, and 5-megapixel snapper on the front. On the software front, it runs on Android Nougat 7.0 Nougat OS. The smartphone houses a 4,850mAh battery, and supports VoLTE. The smartphone measures 154.5 x 76.6 x 8.85mm and weighs 175 grams. Interestingly, the Asus Zenfone Go 2 has been spotted earlier in a GFXBenchmarking list and it is said to feature a 5.5-inch HD display, 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. From benchmarking test, the smartphone is powered by MediaTek MT6750 chipset. It has an 8-megapixel primary camera and a 5-megapixel secondary camera.
