Asus Zenfone Lite L1, Zenfone Max M1 launch event highlights: Price in India, specifications, sale date, offers, and more

Both smartphones will be exclusively available on Flipkart.

Having launched the flagship Zenfone 5Z and the affordable Zenfone Max Pro M1 in India earlier this year, Asus is expanding its smartphone portfolio in the country even further. The Taiwanese technology major has just announced two new budget smartphones – Zenfone Lite L1 and Zenfone Max M1 – both exclusive to Flipkart.

Priced at Rs 6,999 and Rs 8,999 respectively, Zenfone Lite L1 and Zenfone Max M1 will go on sale during the upcoming ‘Flipkart Dhamaka Days’ promotion. During the initial festive season, both smartphones will be available with a discount of Rs 1,000. Customers will also get Rs 2,200 cashback and 50GB of additional data from Reliance Jio.

Having 2GB RAM/16GB storage and 3GB RAM/32GB storage respectively, Zenfone Lite L1 and Zenfone Max M1 are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 430 SoC. Both smartphones have a 5.45-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 720×1440 pixels and an 18:9 aspect ratio. The devices run Android Oreo out-of-the-box, with Asus’ ZenUI 5.0 baked on top.

For imaging, both Zenfone Lite L1 and Zenfone Max M1 come with a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture. Up front, the Lite L1 has a 5-megapixel (with LED flash) snapper, while the Max M1 features an 8-megapixel (with LED flash) shooter. The camera systems come with all standard features like Portrait Mode, Live Beauty, and more.

Asus Zenfone Lite L1 is powered by a 3,000mAh battery, whereas Asus Zenfone Max M1 has a 4,000mAh power-pack keeping things going.

Asus Zenfone Lite L1 is powered by a 3,000mAh battery, which Asus claims can give up to 28 hours of talktime (on 3G networks).

Talking about Zenfone Max M1, it has a 4,000mAh power-pack, with a claimed talktime of up to 36 hours (on 3G networks). The smartphone comes with ‘Reverse Charging’ functionality, which means it can other smartphones via USB OTG.

For all you selfie lovers, there’s a 5MP front-facing camera with an LED flash on the Zenfone Lite L1. Again, this also supports Live Beauty and Portrait Mode.

In case of Zenfone Max M1, you get an 8MP front-facing snapper with LED flash. The usual Live Beauty, Portrait Mode, are here as well.

There’s Face Unlock included in the mix as well.
