Vodafone has announced an extended partnership to offer benefits to those buying smartphones on its network from Asus. The second-largest telecom service provider in the country is offering value-added benefits worth Rs 3,200 with non-telco offers for young customers along with free data. As a part of the offer, Vodafone prepaid users opting for a plan of Rs 199 and above can get 120GB free data, at 10GB per month for a year. Postpaid users with RED 399 plan and above can also avail 10GB extra data for a period of one year.
The telco is also offering added benefits of Free Red Shield Device security solution for two years on Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 smartphone. The Red Shield Device security benefit is only for postpaid subscribers. In a statement, the telco confirmed that is offering non-telco benefits ranging from restaurant and cafe discounts, e-commerce shopping offers, local travel offers, movies and content deals.

With this partnership, we aim to break this barrier by offering them an affordable high tech handset with huge volumes of free data & weekly offers for their non telco indulgences, making this a fully loaded smartphone package that’s easy on the pocket,” said Avneesh Khosla, Associate Director, Vodafone India.

To recall, the Zenfone Max Pro M1 was launched last month as part of a new initiative from Flipkart. The smartphone features a metal unibody design with a modern design language that minimizes bezels surrounding the display. It gets a 5.99-inch Full HD+ LCD display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC. It comes with two storage options: 3GB RAM variant with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM variant with 64GB storage.
The smartphone offers dual rear camera setup with a combination of 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel image sensors. The smartphone offers an 8-megapixel selfie camera. Asus also plans to introduce a new variant at a later stage with 6GB of RAM, an updated 16-megapixel rear and front camera.

Apart from price, Asus is also offering the Zenfone Max Pro M1 with near stock Android Oreo experience and the smartphone received a new update with facial recognition support and April security patch. The smartphone is priced at Rs 10,999 for the 3GB RAM variant and Rs 12,999 for the 4GB RAM variant. It packs a massive 5,000mAh battery and will be available in black and grey color.
