Asus made a big comeback to the Indian smartphone market with the Zenfone Max Pro M1 smartphone earlier this year. To offer an aggressive pricing, Asus even partnered e-commerce portal Flipkart, and the first smartphone to be launched was the Zenfone Max Pro M1 in April. Now, six months later, seems like the company is already working on the successor.
The Zenfone Max Pro M2, and the Zenfone Max M2 have been certified by Eurasian Economic Commission in Russia. Spotted by MySmartPrice, the Zenfone Max M2 bears model number ZB633KL, whereas the Zenfone Max Pro M2 has a model number ZB631KL. The certification also reveals that the smartphones will run on Android 8 Oreo OS, which is disappointing as Android 9 Pie has been out since a couple of months now. However, we hope when the smartphones officially launch, they could run on Android Pie.

Sadly, the certification does not reveal any further information related to the specifications and features of the upcoming smartphones. Also, there is no word on when the smartphones will be officially launched. The Zenfone Max Pro M1 and Zenfone Max M1 featured dual cameras at the back, and beefy batteries, so we can expect the same with the successors.
