The year may be drawing to a close, but Asus still has a product launch left for 2018. Actually, two product launches. The Taiwanese technology company is hosting an event in Gurugram today, where it’ll be unveiling the Zenfone Max Pro and Zenfone Max M2 smartphones. It’s worth mentioning that both smartphones are mid-range devices, and were recently unveiled in Russia last week. Today’s launch is all about bringing the duo to the Indian shores.

Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2
Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 features 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The smartphone features a 6.3-inch FullHD+ notched display with a resolution of 1080×2280 pixels and a 19:9 aspect ratio. There’s stock Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box.
For imaging, the Zenfone Max Pro M2 has a dual-lens camera system, comprised of a 12-megapixel unit and a 5-megapixel unit. Up front is a 13-megapixel single lens for selfies and video calls. All standard connectivity options are included, with a massive 5,000mAh battery rounding off the spec sheet.

As its name suggests, the Asus Zenfone Max M2 is the slightly ‘toned-down’ of the two smartphones. It’s powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 632 SoC, paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. There’s a 6.3-inch HD+ notched display, with a resolution of 720×1520 pixels and a 19:9 aspect ratio. Software is stock Android 8.1 Oreo, so you get a clean UI with no bloat or anything like that.

Taking care of imaging duties on the Zenfone Max M2 is a dual-lens rear camera setup, comprised of a 13-megapixel sensor and a 2-megapixel sensor. You also get an 8-megapixel sensor up front for selfies and video calls. All connectivity features are included, with a 4,000mAh battery keeping things going.
