Officially Uber might be banned in the Capital but that isn’t stopping the taxi ride hailing app service to go on the charm offensive. After Pune, Uber is unleashing its PuppyMobiles in Delhi. Between 1PM to 4PM today, users will get a chance to meet puppies and can even adopt the li’l ones. For this purpose, Uber has deployed dedicated fleets called PuppyMobiles, and has teamed up with Dogspot.in to get puppies on board. Interested users will have to go to the app between 1PM and 4PM today, select the UBERPUPPIES option via the app, and wait to get shortlisted. The shortlisted candidates will then have an Uber car picking them up. They ll then be able to enjoy 15 minutes with the puppies, and later make up their mind to adopt or not. Even though the company is encouraging lifetime adoption of pets, users can walk out without adopting too. This is not the first time Uber is conducting a puppy adoption drive in India. In January, it deployed PuppyMobiles in Pune as well.
The company has made quite a reputation for its creative social and marketing initiatives. Uber regularly introduces free helicopter rides on various occasions, the last one being on Valentine’s Day. On Holi, the company went all out and organized a party along with dhol baaja for few select Uber riders. During IPL, it gave its Bangalore customers a chance to meet the Royal Challengers Bangalore players, and even conducted a Gurgaon Gourmet Week in the recent past where it gave out discounts at select restaurants.
