The Shenzen-based startup has sold as many as 1 million smartphones last year, and is currently busy working on the OnePlus Two. There isn’t much detail on the cheaper variant, but the report says it will be released by the end of this year. CEO Carl Pei had also hinted earlier that the company is working on a smartphone, which caters to an audience that ‘prefers design over specs’. The report also reiterates that the OnePlus Two is coming in the third quarter, something that Pei had confirmed to BGR India earlier as well. The OnePlus Two is believed to sport some major revamps in construction and also hardware front. Rumors have hinted that the OnePlus Two will focus on the design and it will employ metal frame as opposed to the polycarbonate on the OnePlus One. There are also reports that the forthcoming flagship will be priced slightly higher.
The OnePlus Two is rumored to be powered by a Snapdragon 810 processor paired with a 3GB RAM, feature a 5.5-inch 1080p display, 16-megapixel primary snapper, 5-megapixel secondary snapper, and run on Oxygen OS, which was rolled out just a couple of days ago.
