If you are out in the market looking for a premium mid-range smartphone under Rs 30,000, there are quite a few options now. This particular segment has smartphones from the likes of Vivo, Oppo, Honor and even Poco by Xiaomi. The list contains smartphones ranging from Rs 20,000 to Rs 30,000.
Vivo V11 Pro
Vivo V11 Pro is the latest entry in the sub Rs 30,000 price market. The big highlight of the smartphone is its in-display fingerprint scanner, dual-engine fast charging, and a display with tiny notch. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC paired with 6GB of RAM.
The Vivo V11 Pro has been launched with a price tag of Rs 25,990, and two color options of Starry Night Black and Dazzling Gold. The pre-booking has already started while the first sale starts from September 12 on Amazon India.
Poco F1 by Xiaomi could qualify as the best contender in the list. The flagship smartphone packs top-of-the-line hardware including Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, 6GB RAM and 64GB storage at just Rs 20,990. The 6GB RAM/ 128GB inbuilt storage model has been priced at Rs. 23,999.
There is an 8GB RAM variant with 256GB inbuilt storage and it costs Rs. 28,999. Lastly, there is one special Armoured Edition of the Poco F1 with ‘real Kevlar’ priced at Rs. 29,999. The smartphone is available through Flipkart and Mi.com via flash sales. It comes in Rosso Red, Steel Blue and Graphite Black color options.

Asus Zenfone 5Z
Asus launched the Zenfone 5Z in India exclusively via Flipkart in July. The flagship smartphone comes with 6GB and 8GB RAM options with Snapdragon 845 SoC. It sports a 6.2-inch full HD+ edge-to-edge notch display with a dual-camera setup at the back. This includes a 12-megapixel primary sensor with large 1.4-micron pixels, and an 8-megapixel secondary sensor that allows 120-degree wide-angle shooting and portrait mode shots.
The Asus Zenfone 5Z variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage is priced at Rs 29,999, whereas the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage is priced at Rs 32,999. There is also an 8GB RAM with 256GB storage variant priced at Rs 36,999.
Huawei Nova 3i
The Huawei Nova 3 and Huawei Nova 3i were launched in July by the company. Upfront, the Nova 3i features a 6.3-inch Full-HD+ 2.5 curved glass display with a notch and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. Inside, it packs company’s own mid-range octa-core Kirin 710 12nm SoC with ARM Mali-G51 MP4 GPU. This device comes with 4GB RAM coupled with 128GB internal storage, which too is expandable up to 256GB with microSD card.
The Nova 3i at Rs 20,999 for the 4GB + 128GB variant. it can be exclusively purchased through Amazon India in two color options – Iris Purple and Black.
Oppo F9 Pro
Oppo launched the F9 Pro in India recently. The big highlight of Oppo F9 Pro is its 25-megapixel selfie camera, waterdrop notch display and VOOC Flash charging support. Under the hood, the handset packs a MediaTek Helio P60 SoC with an octa-core CPU along with Mali-G72 MP3 GPU.
There is also a dedicated microSD card slot to expand the internal storage. The Oppo F9 Pro with 6GB RAM, and 64GB storage that is priced at Rs 23,990. The device is available across offline and online retail stores.
Honor Play (6GB)
Honor launched the gaming-friendly Honor Play with high-end Kirin 970 in India last month. While the phone starts at Rs 19,999 for the 4GB RAM/64GB storage variant, there is one more 6GB RAM variant at Rs 23,999 which is a good option under Rs 30,000 price bracket. It can be purchased via flash sales on Amazon India.
The device sports a 6.3-inch full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) IPS LCD screen with a notch and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The phone has a dual-camera setup at the rear, with a 16-megapixel primary camera and 2-megapixel secondary camera for depth-sensing abilities, along with a 16-megapixel front camera.
Nokia 7 Plus
The Nokia 7 Plus was launched in April this year. The smartphone packs Snapdragon 660 octa-core SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. It features a 6-inch full HD+ (1080 x 2160) display, with an aspect ratio 18:9. As for photography, you get dual-rear cameras with a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 13-megapixel secondary sensor with Carl Zeiss lenses. The battery on the phone is quite powerful as well at 3800mAh.
The best part about the phone is Android 8.1 Oreo stock OS, and Nokia might soon update it to Android 9 Pie. It is currently priced at Rs 25,999 on Amazon India.
Samsung Galaxy A8+
Samsung Galaxy A8+ (2018) features metal and glass with thin bezels surrounding the display. It comes with 6-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display. It packs a 2.2GHz + 1.6GHz Exynos 7885 octa-core processor coupled with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage which is expandable up to 256GB. It sports a combination of 16-megapixel and 8-megapixel cameras with f/1.9 aperture at the front while the rear features a single 16-megapixel camera with f/1.7 aperture.
The 6GB RAM and 64GB storage variant of Galaxy A8+ comes for Rs 29,990 at Amazon India, although it can be purchased offline at a lower price.
In terms of specifications, the Honor View10 features a 5.99-inch display with Full HD+ resolution of 2160×1080 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by company’s own HiSilicon Kirin 970 chipset coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
It features a primary 16-megapixel RGB color sensor and a secondary 20-megapixel monochrome sensor. The primary 16-megapixel color sensor has wider f/1.8 aperture. There is a 13-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and support for portrait mode and beautification feature.
Honor launched its flagship Honor View10 earlier this year in India at Rs 29,999. The smartphone is exclusively from Amazon India.
