India’s smartphone market returned to double-digit growth at the end of second quarter, which means consumers have once again started picking up new devices in big numbers. According to Counterpoint Research, the smartphone market registered 18 percent year-over-year growth after a flat growth in the first quarter. Samsung regained leadership from Xiaomi but Chinese smartphone makers saw triple-digit growth in their shipments.

Honor and Xiaomi saw their shipments grow by 188 percent and 112 percent respectively. The research notes that increased shipments mainly belonged to the sub-Rs 10,000 price segment and it is no wonder that this segment offers a large set of devices to choose from and especially those offering tremendous value for money. If you are in the market looking for a smartphone in the sub-Rs 10,000 price segment then here are ten devices that make the best bet.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, launched in early 2018, is already one of the best selling smartphones in the sub-Rs 10,000 price segment. Xiaomi claims to have sold over 5 million units of the device since its launch and it is on track to perfectly fill on the shoes of its predecessor. The Redmi Note 5 builds on the success of Redmi Note 4 with a larger display and support for taller aspect ratio.

The smartphone features a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, 3GB or 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB of storage.
