The website in question is CrashSafari.com, which can prove to be a nuisance for Apple users. As the name suggests, clicking on the URL will crash the browser, and could even crash the device. 9To5Mac points to the code on the website that makes it irritating. A JavaScript code repeatedly calls on the History API in quick succession thereby overloading the browser’s memory, and causing it to crash. The URL doesn’t harm your device per se, and is more of a nuisance.

The report also says that some users are sharing the website on social media, but are hiding the link using URL shortener. With the link hidden, most people are tricked into clicking on it and end up crashing the browser.
