To take on Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel has announced a new prepaid plan priced at Rs 49 and it offers 3GB of high-speed 3G / 4G data with a validity of one-day. The pack is only available in select circles. To check the eligibility for the pack, users can visit Airtel’s website by entering the mobile number, or login to ‘My Airtel’ app on their smartphone. In case the user is not eligible for the offer, only 1GB data will be credited, instead of 3GB.

Reliance Jio, on the other hand, has Rs 49 plan that is specially designed for JioPhone users. The plan offers 1GB of data that is valid for 28 days. Once the data is consumed, the speed will be throttled down to 64kbps. Unlike Airtel’s plan that only offers data, Reliance Jio’s Rs 49 plan also offers unlimited voice calls, and unlimited roaming throughout the validity period.

Airtel has also recently announced Rs 99 recharge plan that offers 1GB 4G data, along with unlimited local and STD calls. The pack also offers 100 free SMS, and comes with a validity of 10 days. To check the eligibility of the offer, users can need to open the ‘My Airtel’ app and click on ‘View Best Offers.’
