RIM today announced that the BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 (BES10) is available for government and corporate clients. BES10 is a device management system that lets clients support both corporate and employee owned devices and provides a single platform to manage BlackBerry, Android and Apple’s iOS-based devices.

RIM’s senior head of enterprise software, Peter Devenyi said, “We definitely anticipate that (enterprise) customers will be making the switch to BB10 rapidly,” and that the feedback has been largely positive. Also Read - BlackBerry piggy backs on Amazon to get 240,000 Android apps for BB10
Besides providing a single platform to manage multi-platform devices, BES10 supports BlackBerry Balance technology that separates work applications from personal content. Other features include:
- Support for secure access to work email, content and secure connectivity to “behind the firewall” applications and data.
- BlackBerry World for Work, the new corporate app storefront for BlackBerry 10 smartphones that allows organizations to manage apps for employees by pushing mandatory apps to devices.
- Rich management controls for securing and managing work profiles
BES 10 should be available with BB10 which is scheduled to launch on January 30.
