BlackBerry Evolve was announced on August 2. It is the first the smartphone from the company that has been both designed and manufactured in India. It comes with a touchscreen that is wrapped inside a aluminum unibody design. However, BlackBerry has given it the signature textured style rubberized finish at the back, found on other smartphones from the company. Not just that, it also comes with all the proprietary security features including, BlackBerry Privacy Shade, BlackBerry Hub, BlackBerry Password Keeper and many more. Additionally, it also supports Face Unlock, and comes with a Fingerprint Sensor at the back.
BlackBerry Evolve features and specifications
BlackBerry Evolve features a 5.99-inch display with Full HD+ resolution of 2160×1080 pixels, and 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The storage can be further expanded to 256GB via a micro SD card.

On the camera front, BlackBerry has equipped the Evolve with a combination of 12-megapixel and 13-megapixel dual rear camera setup, which comes with support for 2x optical zoom. The smartphone features a 16-megapixel camera upfront with f/2.0 aperture and front flash. The device is backed by 4,000mAh battery that supports Qualcomm 3.0 Quick Charge and runs on Android Oreo with a BlackBerry launcher running on top of it.
