It’s just been a week since the BlackBerry Key2 launched in India, and already there seems to be new devices incoming. BlackBerry brand licensee Optiemus Infracom has sent out media invites for a launch event on August 2. The event will kick off at 11:00AM, and if reports are to be believed, we could see the launch of the BlackBerry Evolve and the Evolve X.
BlackBerry Evolve and Evolve X are said to be rebranded versions of the BlackBerry Ghost and Ghost Pro. Unlike the recently launched Key2, these two smartphones won’t have a QWERTY keypad. Instead they will feature tall displays with slim bezels that is more in line with the current trend.
Other rumored features include a dual-camera setup at the back with some manner of low-light enhancements, and optical zoom features. The smartphones are also expected to be backed by a 4,000mAh battery. While details are scarce, the smartphones could also be powered by the latest Qualcomm processor.
